9/11 and Assange: Media-Judicial Control

Written by Dwain Deets

The events of 9/11 were notable in the conformity of the message carried out by mainstream media. The storyline was monolithic in the corporate media, with only rare deviations from the prevailing story. The narrative did not randomly come together as a consensus view across the mainstream media but was the result of message control in the editorial rooms by CIA operatives.

Steps were taken in Congress to make sure the prevailing story didn’t unravel in the Courts, should lawsuits occur bringing other facts about 9/11 into the public domain. Congress passed a bill, signed into law by President George W. Bush, requiring all legal challenges about 9/11 be heard in a single court in the Federal District Court in Manhattan. The judge in that Court was Alvin K. Hellerstein, who did not allow any of the plaintiffs’ information to become part of the public record. All 96 cases were settled one way or the other, under confidential terms.

Media-Judicial Control of Julian Assange

Julian Assange dire situation is the result of the US government’s imperative to control the message. Assange stepped out of line, doing his job as a journalist, by saying "no" to power, published embarrassing information to the US military, the information provided by whistleblower Chelsea Manning. The US government has taken a series of steps, all a part of sending a message to all publishers out there, that if they do likewise, their profession and life will be in danger. The US manipulated Assange removal from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, to where he now is at HM Prison Belmarsh in South-East London. The CIA has its contractor spying on Assange, making it impossible for him to confer with his lawyer and prepare his defense. All of this manipulation by the US government remains hidden from the public because the mainstream media fails to cover the story. As with 9/11, the media is subject to the same message control in the editorial rooms by CIA operatives.

A hearing was held in the Westminster Magistrate’s Court in London on October 21, 2019, in which the WikiLeaks’ publisher requested more time to prepare his defense. Judge Vanessa Baraitser was presiding. Mark Summers, Assange’s lawyer, told the court that the US illegally spied on Assange while he was inside the Ecuadorian Embassy seeking refuge and taking other illegal actions against the WikiLeaks founder.

The Judge denied Assange’s request for a delay. As the hearing ended, Baraitser asked Assange if he understood what had just transpired. “Not really. I can’t think properly,” he said.
