Meet the Board
William Jacoby, President
William Jacoby is a founding board member of both the 9/11 Truth Action Project and the Lawyers' Committee for 9/11 Inquiry. Previously he was a volunteer coordinator of local action teams for Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth.
Now retired, Bill's work life included professional and managerial experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Public sector experience was in municipal government as an attorney specializing in community development, and as a senior manager in the New York State Department of Social Services. Nonprofit experience was in human services research, planning and evaluation; housing and community development program administration at the senior and executive levels; and international economic and community development in Latin America. In the private sector, Bill helped secure public and private investment for, and held executive positions with, two renewable energy companies.
Bill's early activism experience was in the civil rights movement and in the Peace Corps in Peru. Bill has a BA in Government from Dartmouth, an M. Pub. Admin degree from the Univ. of Pittsburgh, and a J. D. degree from Duquesne Law School, and was admitted to the NY and Pennsylvania Bars. He is politically active and has run for political office. He currently resides in the Washington, D.C. suburbs.
Dwain Deets, Vice President
Former Director for Research Engineering and Aerospace Projects at NASA Dryden Flight Research Center; received the NASA Exceptional Service Award and inclusion in “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.” Contributor to “9/11 Unmasked,” seven-year research project now published.
Janet Zampieri, Board Member and Secretary
Janet Zampieri is a retired computer software engineer and paralegal with a bachelor’s degree in 1995 from University of California at Berkeley in Development Studies (Political Economy Dept). She currently lives and runs a homestead in the desert in Tucson, AZ. Janet has always questioned the official story of what happened on 9/11, but first started doing research and getting active in 9/11 Truth in 2015. She started volunteering for Architects & Engineers for 9/11Truth in late 2015 doing minutes to the monthly regional coordinator’s meetings for the local action groups. When 911TAP spun off from AE911Truth, she continued in that capacity, and became a 911TAP board member and secretary in June of 2017. She also runs the Tucson Truth Action Group, which holds monthly meetings and does outreach campaigns, especially at the annual Tucson Peace Fair. Janet is also on the board of the Tucson Peace Center, which puts out an on-line and printed copy of local peace and social justice events and organizes the annual Tucson Peace Fair & Music Festival. Janet is the Secretary of TAP and works in the Organizational Development and Campaigns departments.
Dan Hennen, Board Member and Treasurer
Dan Hennen earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Minnesota State University-Mankato in 1992. He has 25 years experience in private accounting ranging from small companies to Fortune 500 companies. He currently works as a consutant in the Minneapolis area. Dan began looking into 9/11 in 2010 and has been very active ever since. He was a founding member of the “I Am The Face Of Truth” Facebook campaign, was a volunteer with Architects & Engineer’s for 9/11 Truth and also volunteers his time for Minnesotans for 9/11 Truth, which meets monthly. Dan has his own YouTube channel and web site www.uglytruth.info. He has interviewed various personalities regarding 9/11, Iran-Contra, and the deaths of President Kennedy, Captain Philip Marshall, Senator Paul Wellstone and activist David Crowley. Dan hosts a weekly radio show on Eternal Affairs Radio as well. Dan joined the Board in June, 2018. Dan is married with two grown children.
J. B. Hockersmith, Board Member
J.B. Hockersmith is recognized as a seasoned industry professional for his skills as a film/video production consultant, producer, and art director. His clients have included ABC Television, BET Network, IBM, Comcast, Toyota & Delta Airlines. Having been an entrepreneur and business owner for over 25 years, JB has built a strong reputation not only for his creativity but also the ability to make it happen. He has partnered with numerous corporate executives to find solutions for their communications needs & his leadership skills are well documented having closed/produced dozens of projects with budgets well over $100K.
John O'Malley, Board Member
John O’Malley, BS, MBA, is retired from the US Federal Government. His office was in Wedge Number 1 of the Pentagon while serving in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He is a volunteer with www.dc911truth.org.
