On September 11, 2018 over a dozen Vigils for Justice were held across the country. The vigils were held both to remember events of 9/11 and the wars that were started based on the events of 9/11 as well as to educate the public about the destruction of the three skyscrapers at the World Trade Center Towers. These vigils were a key piece of the strategy for creating the long-awaited paradigm shift of 9/11 truth and justice that was given a boost last April 10th when The Lawyers’ Committee for 9/11 Inquiry, a non-profit, public interest legal team, filed a 52-page petition with 57 evidence-based exhibits for either a grand jury or a special grand jury to evaluate before taking action (subpoenas, etc.).
Over a dozen vigils were held across the United States plus a few vigils outside the U.S. borders.
Educational Outreach Based on Lawyers Committee for 9/11 Inquiry Initiative
The Lawyers’ Committee Petition submitted to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, cites statutes and cases holding that evidence of a crime must be given to a grand jury for investigation. Constitutional scholars recognize citizen grand juries as the government’s 4th branch. Our founders knew times like these would arrive, when the three branches would neglect and abuse the public trust. They also knew if enough citizens honored their civic duty to peacefully stand together to support petitions exactly like the one from the Lawyers’ Committee, this fourth branch – independent of the other three – could prevail. HOWEVER – The People have to make it known that they support the independence of the grand jury.
As with other Constitutional rights, the lawyers’ call for an independent grand jury investigation of 9/11 might be ignored, apparently based on a belief that Americans don’t mind being lied to or losing their freedoms. That’s why we who do care, assembled their Truth Action Groups (TAGs) on county or federal district courthouse steps and courtyards – as well as other public areas.
The 9/11 Truth Action Groups assembled in a united state of mind to learn what we can do to honor the founder-sages who gave us the 1st Amendment: “Congress shall make no law...abridging (deprive, restrict, usurp) the right of the People peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
As corruption keeps eating away the public trust, we demanded the rule of law be upheld and called for the public disclosure of secret, rogue ‘black ops’ similar to those that allowed the events of 9/11 to proceed unimpeded. As you will see in the following photos, some vigils chose to have sing-alongs, (or hum-alongs), prayers and/or meditation, remembering all victims of 9/11, both here in the United States as well as elsewhere in the world where our unjustified actions have caused so much suffering.
2018 Vigil Photos
In Atlanta, the initial assembly was at the Fulton Co. Courthouse and then the peaceable assembly walked two blocks to the State Capital at approximately 6:30 PM. This event was moderated by Daniel Bland, a U.S Veteran who joined the military after 9/11 only to find out the truth behind both wars and the 9/11 terror attacks was different that what the American people were told. The event included prayer, song, silence, public speaking, banner display & flier distribution.
In Pearl, the most significant event of the Mississippi vigil was the publication of an advertisement in the SWRankin News.
A dozen supporters of the Connecticut 9/11 Truth contingent assembled in West Hartford Center with banners, flyers and candles.
The Tucson group assembled at the Federal Courthouse at the corner of Congress and Granada.
Beaverton Oregon had a small but enthusiastic outreach group at their vigil
The Salem vigil was small but made an impression on the community.
The Tempe area had the support of students from Arizona State and the local community.
A large group of 9/11 Truth activists peaceably assembled at Lykes Gaslight Park (across City of Tampa - City Hall).
The Boston group had two separate events. One was in front of teh Massachusetts State House and the second one was freeway blogging over the Mass Pike.
Rockingham, Western Australia, Australia
A solitary vigiler, wearing a Lawyers Committee for 9/11 Inquiry tee shirt, stood outside the Rockingham Court House in Western Australia raising awareness about the events of 9/11. Rockingham is about as far away from New York City and Washington DC as it is possible to get on planet Earth. On a globe of the world, Rockingham, Western Australia is almost exactly on the opposite side of the planet from New York City and Washington DC.
There were several other vigils that do not have submitted photos at this time:
- New York City, New York
- Dyersburg, Tennessee
- Washington, DC
- Kelowna,British Columbia, Canada
With the experience gained from organizing these multi-city events, 9/11 TAP is looking forward to future educational outreach opportunities.
