Editorial Policy of the 9/11 Truth Action Project

Guide for Authors and Contributors

9/11 TAP welcomes contributions from its supporters that are consistent with the goals of the organization and consistent with its editorial policy.  This article provides guidance on what constitutes “appropriate” materials in order to support the 9/11 TAP goal of building and mobilizing a global grassroots movement that will expose the truths of 9/11 and create a groundswell of civic support.  The editorial policy applies to public information resources such as website articles, background information, descriptions of evidence, social media posts and for all 9/11 TAP originated materials such as brochures and booklets.


9/11 TAP is seeking materials supportive of its mission as described in its Strategic Plan.  Preferred materials include articles acknowledging individual and group outreach activities, strategies for improving effectiveness of outreach, novel initiatives for raising awareness and other ways to promote our mission.

While the focus of 9/11 TAP revolves around the events of September 11, 2001 and its aftermath, the scope of social and political change envisioned in the 9/11 TAP Strategic Plan may be supported by published materials addressing many aspects of the political, economic, social and media world that surrounds us.  Because of the enormous range of topics that could be addressed – and 9/11 TAP’s need to stay focused on the core issues related to 9/11 – other issues that are tangential to 9/11 are less likely to be addressed in depth. Maintaining this narrow focus is justified because many other organizations are dedicated to addressing these other important, but tangential, issues.  The focus of these other organizations on addressing their adopted issues, which are connected to 9/11 and its aftermath, is welcome and 9/11 TAP hopes to partner with them.  

Many of them have their own voices and strategies for bringing their issues to their audiences and then to the general public and then to governmental bodies.  These other organizations address issues such as abolition of nuclear weapons, the integrity of the voting process, the role of the Federal Reserve, establishment of appropriate borders for Israel, the Palestinian conflict, militarization, war, environmental concerns, etc.  These organizations are successful because they can operate openly, raise funds, build constituencies, work in coalitions, have their positions taken seriously and facilitate open civil discussion in the media even, if they have yet to succeeded in getting their policies implemented.  This is in contrast to the experiences of most organizations that deal directly with the nature of the 9/11 attacks themselves. 

Because the events of 9/11 clearly show that there are problems with our governmental institutions and media at virtually all levels, it is essential that 9/11 be brought into widespread civil public discourse. This will enable a more complete discourse of important issues and enhance the understanding of the interrelated nature of many issues.  Understanding and publicizing these interrelationships is necessary in order to promote the ideal of bringing Americans and the citizens of the world together through genuinely constructive dialog.

Editorial Policy and the Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan supports the mission statement; “The mission of the 9/11 Truth Action Project is to build and mobilize a global grassroots movement that will expose the truths of 9/11 and create a groundswell of civic support that achieves transparency and accountability for the crimes of 9/11, justice for its victims, an end to unwarranted U. S. military actions, and the restoration of our civil liberties.”

The purpose of the information resources offered by 9/11 TAP is to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan, which includes:

  • Develop and use proven, pragmatic tactics to accelerate achievement of the 9/11 Truth Action Project Goal, including using only the best, evidence-backed arguments and materials to teach 9/11 Truth.
  • Teach 9/11 Truth to the general public by developing and delivering written, audio, and video materials, backed by internet assets
  • Persuade the general public of the high importance of solving the 9/11 crime by teaching the events of 9/11 in the context of the modern Deep State, including the human and financial costs of the War on Terror and the accompanying erosion of civil liberties, and the bleak future prospects for America and the world based on the current trajectory
  • Motivate the general public to support 9/11 Truth by teaching the role it can play in achieving an "American renewal," where two distinguishing features of 9/11 Truth combine to offer a plausible catalyst for ending the non-democratic control of the American political system: (a) the obviousness of the 9/11 lies and (b) the extreme consequences of the lies that make them intolerable to the American people.

These basic points from the strategic plan highlight the range of materials that are being sought for publication.  They range from historical analyses, and explanations of the evidence emanating from 9/11, to the best strategies for educating the public and how to implement public policy change.

Basic Covenant

The material published must be respectful of the dignity of individuals, religions, and classes of people, and must not be defamatory or accusatory, or presumptive of the guilt of identifiable individuals unless and until they have been convicted in a court of law.  It may, however, critically question the truth or accuracy of the accounts of others, and the merits of public policies and their justification as well as potential judicial and/or prosecutorial misconduct.  Published materials may propound theories if they are advanced as theories rather than facts and supported by substantial evidence.  

A primary criterion for publishing material on the website is that the information be demonstrably accurate, and presented in such a way as to encourage the pursuit of truth through critical comparison of alternative explanations or interpretations.

Hypotheses and Levels of Evidence

Information - and hypotheses published regarding information resources - must be based on a scientific and historical basis that is empirically sound.  This material should be relevant to understanding how 9/11 could have been orchestrated or allowed to happen, the nature of the events of 9/11 and its immediate aftermath, and the consequences of 9/11 for peace, prosperity and human rights.

The 9/11 TAP Editorial Board will have final say over posting of controversial materials –whether initiated by 9/11 TAP, submitted by 9/11 TAP members or at the request of a third party.  In the event of submitted materials which the 9/11 TAP Editorial Board agrees is appropriate and accurate based on available information – but is concerned that there are other valid perspectives or material are not yet available – one of the following disclaimers may be inserted into the posting.

While original, unpublished materials are preferable, co-publication or re-publication (with permission) is desirable for educating and inspiring our readers.  The following list of article types is not exhaustive but should provide some focus to potential contributors.

    • Outreach related to the evidence
  2. Witness discussion (these are much more subjective):
    • Requires corroboration via physical evidence
    • Analysis of witness consensus
    • Review of statements made by the same witness
    • Third party articles – with written permission to reprint
